DFS Crane Machine Promotion Campaign

Objectives

As Christmas was approaching, DFS would like to build several crane machines at the Hong Kong International Airport as an engagement prize-winning game for the travelers, to attract more retail consumers and boost sales. The prizes included beauty products gifts, cash coupons and DFS souvenirs. GH helps operating the whole campaign, from machines production to the 2-months campaign management.

Production

GH designers created a few festive designs for the machine; at last, the key visuals from DFS were used as the overall designs to match with the brand’s CI. Our designers also created the coupons and indication board for the event usage.

Challenges

Due to the location restrictions, we faced a lot of limitations during the machine production. Since general size of crane machines are too large, we had to specially build a smaller size machine to fit in the airport standard, specific materials were also used to meet the fire safety ordinance.

Achievements

We successfully create noise for the event, large crowds were gathered at the store to play the game, the highest record was even up to 1,200 game-times per day at one store! Glad to know that customers were happy with the game and coupons that they won did bring them back in-store to purchase again.
